GameStrata launched a slightly more public beta last week and having received an invite, I can safely say that it looks to be a cross-platform social networking site — kind of like Facebook but just about gaming. Gamasutra posted a Q&A with CEO Lance Smith and co-founder and COO Barry Dorf of Gamestrata. It will be interesting to see if this type of idea takes off, since Xbox LIVE and Steam seem to be most successful at trying to keep their network of users on their respective platforms, rather than using third party sites.
